Baking Ideas For The Festive Season!!

Baking and Cooking Ideas For The Festive Season!!!

Baking:

Cinnamon Rolls/buns

The perfect Christmas bake staple, the cosy taste in the cinnamon filling the air of your home. It is so comforting having these around Christmas time and the darks days in general. I can't beat the buttery dough paired with cinnamon filling, its just delicious; especially when you add the sweet sugar icing to the top. Nothing better for your sweet tooth cravings.

The smell of the pastry and cinnamon will fill your house and create an even cosier atmosphere.

All you need to do is roll our your puff pastry and spread your cinnamon filling onto the puff pastry sheet. Then using the long edge carefully roll it into a log. Then cut into your desired size of rolls, you could aim for at least 10 maybe 12 cinnamon rolls.

Chocolate dough twists/chocolate puff pastry treats

There's no surprise this is one of my top picks. fairly similar to why I would pick cinnamon rolls, but the combinations with the buttery dough and melted chocolate filling. Personally this is my favourite, wrapped up in blankets with a hot chocolate, having your treat watching a Christmas movie.

It is so quick and easy, you don't even have to make the puff pastry!! Bonus

All you have to do is roll out your store bought puff pastry, you will need to separate sheets of puff pastry. Then spread a layer of your choice of chocolate spread (I use Cadbury's or you can use Nutella), and place the second sheet of puff pastry onto.

This is where you can now customise it to your liking, as you can use cookie cutters for fun shapes such as trees, snowflakes, gingerbread and more! you could also cut the sheet into strips and roll them into rolls or even twist them. there are many options.

Make it festive!!!

You can create gingerbread men or houses as a group activity with friends or family, teaming up and sharing creative ideas to decorate fun looking gingerbread men and houses. Or, if you like a challenge turn it into healthy competition. As it's the perfect way to show of your baking skills, may the best decorator win! who can create the most festive scene?
